It’s more of a personal reason why Dwayne Johnson won’t work with Vin Diesel ever again. Dwayne Johnson had an issue with one co-star in particular whilst on the set of The Fate of the Furious.
Taking to social media, the actor once revealed exactly why he would never work with this particular actor ever again. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, 50, once addressed some beef he had with one of the Fast and Furious regulars.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Johnson once opened up about some behind-the-scenes drama that took place on the set of The Fate of the Furious, the eighth addition to the eleven-film strong Fast and Furious franchise.
According to the news outlet, tensions came to a boiling point during the final week of filming the action flick.
Johnson took to Instagram to share, in a now-deleted post, how he felt about certain unnamed co-stars who fail to “conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals.”
He also added that the co-stars in question were “too chickenshit to do anything about it” before dubbing them as “candyasses”.
The interview alleges that the anonymous co-star Johnson was referring to was none other than Vin Diesel, 55, who rose to fame after taking on the role of Dominic Toretto.
Viewers soon started to notice that the two stars seemed to never be on set together at the same time. When asked about this, Johnson revealed: “That is correct.””We were not in any scenes together,” he confirmed.
Opening up about the Instagram post further, Johnson summarised their clash as down to “fundamental differences” in their professional lives.”Vin and I had a few discussions,” the Jumangi star began, “including an important face-to-face in my trailer.”

It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not,” he concluded.
When asked whether or not he’d return for the next instalment in the franchise, Johnson stated: “I’m not quite sure.”Right now, I’m concentrating on making the spinoff as good as it can be,” referring to Hobbs and Shaw (2019) starring Jason Statham.
Johnson stated that while the pair share professional differences, he still wishes Vin Diesel “the best”.
“I wish him all the best, and I harbour no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have. “Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity,” Johnson concluded.
The upcoming addition to the franchise, Fast X, is set to hit cinemas May 2023.
